Chetwynd profile celebrates Gerry family business leaders
Judy Carlson profiles Butch and Darlene Gerry of Home Hardware in Chetwynd. The feature traces the family's business path from 1959 when Butch's father opened a general store, through Gerry's Food Mart and its sale, to the 1989 start of Home Hardware. It notes Brent and Tracy's roles at the store and their community activities, plus the couple’s plan to retire in Chetwynd and enjoy a summer cottage at Moberly Lake.

Chetwynd Chamber Seeks Support For Next Trade Show
Darlene Stanfield reports a successful Trade Show with fewer receipts from paid admissions. The District of Chetwynd and Chamber plan a future show with broader local business backing and welcome ideas. Dick Sequens hopes to return for another magic show. A committee will honor Frank Oberle, with Maureen Gammon already volunteering, and others invited to contact the chamber at 788-3345. The parade in Quesnel for Billy Barker Days will feature the Little Giant and parade float with volunteers urged to call the chamber for costume duties and information.
