Friendly Giant remembered as a beloved Canadian icon
Readers mourn the death of Bob Humming the creator and performer behind CBC’s Friendly Giant. For generations the 15 minute show taught kindness and reading, with Jerome the giraffe and Rusty the squirrel as a family. The piece praises its gentle values against modern programs.
