It Took 20 Years But Part 1 A Genealogy Memoir
Marjorie Harvey Lenfest recalls tracing her family tree from about 1960, noting split lines in English and Scottish Armstrong ancestry. She describes finding relatives like her Mohawk great-aunt Lily and Joan, the daughter of John Spicer, amid lost records. A 1974 fire destroyed most of the tree, except maternal lines, before gradual rebuilding in Trail and Chetwynd with ongoing inquiries to the Indian Affairs Department.
