Chetwynd Council Eyes Solar Upgrade For Wind Lights
The council will add solar panels to four boulevard wind powered lights to keep batteries charged during calm periods and extend electrical wiring to illuminate between the road and CN tracks on boulevard 3. A VAWIR Committee presentation sought funding for a fundraiser and future education. They plan a April 26 dinner and show to fund awareness and services for women leaving violent relationships. The council will set a funding amount at the next meeting. The Health Services Committee will discuss BC Housing related assisted living plans. The PRRC 2008 financial plan is available at the Area E office in the Chetwynd Rec Centre.
