Murray Booth sweeps two divisions at Thunder on the Mountain
Local racer Murray Booth won first place in two events at Paradise Valley Snowmobile Association's Thunder on the Mountain drag race in Bear Mountain terrain. He piloted a Yamaha 1000cc turbo Open Modified and a 900cc King Modified sled, hitting speeds of 150 to 160 kph, as spectators watched racers from the Peace region and beyond. The event resumes after a year hiatus due to poor snow, with prize money totaling in the thousands. Booth, living in Chetwynd, spoke of his first race since relocating, while PVSA president Richard Cromier eyed a landmark turnout.
