Reading Buddies Project a success at Chetwynd Library
The Reading Buddies Project pairs readers aged six to eleven with high school students and adult volunteers at Chetwynd Public Library. The program started in October 2007 and is free, funded by the District of Chetwynd and library grants. Participants benefit in reading, social skills, and confidence, with snacks and incentives. Parents hope for expansion next year as demand grows.
