BC Hydro launches Power Smart program at Chamber meeting
BC Hydro unveiled its Power Smart demand side plan with a $225 million ten year budget aimed at conserving energy and delaying a new dam. Chetwynd Receives Revenue Sharing Grants
At the March 7 1989 council meeting Chetwynd was advised by Rita Johnston Minister Ministry of Municipal Affairs Recreation and Culture that the town will receive a basic grant of 65000 and an unconditional grant of 134880 under the Revenue Sharing Act Regulations. The unconditional grant will be paid in nine equal monthly installments from April to December 1989 and may be used at the municipality’s discretion with an eye to the future.
