Tumbler Ridge weighs salt to chlorine pool switch
Tumbler Ridge council considers spending 211000 dollars to install a new chlorinated gas system at the Aquatic Centre as the salt system fails. Officials cite maintenance costs and pipe damage from salt, noting other towns have shifted to chlorine gas for economy and reliability. Local staff and patrons debate health and comfort impacts as the town weighs longevity and costs.
