Barricaded man surrenders after Dawson Creek standoff
RCMP contained a barricaded male in a residence near 6 Street and 99 Avenue, evacuated nearby residents, and conducted negotiations. He surrendered peacefully and was detained under the Mental Health Act before being taken to hospital for evaluation. A driver received a 24 hour driving suspension after a Sunday crash on Highway 29 North. RCMP also investigated a break and enter at the Chetwynd Veterinary Clinic with no thefts reported. Anyone with information was urged to contact Crimestoppers.
