Northern Health Alerts operators of restaurants and regularly inspected facilities about a telephone scam in which callers pose as NH health inspectors seeking tax and personal data. EHOs deny ever requesting financial information by phone, and ID via NH nametags or verification with the local Health Unit is advised. Reports say similar calls occur in other BC regions, Ontario, and the U S. Public urged caution and to request official identification before sharing any details.
