Windrem Elementary students thank sponsors for binding machine
Mrs. Newman’s grade 2 3 4 class in Windrem Elementary gathered around a new book binding machine. Students held thank you cards for HH Insurance Lake View Credit Union and Talisman Energy which donated hundreds of dollars. The first book honors Erica Courtoreille who received it at home in Chetwynd from Vancouver Children’s Hospital.

Golf tournament boosts funds for Chetwynd hospital
The Chetwynd and District Hospital Foundation raised 5000 at its first annual hole in one golf tournament on June 2 2001 co sponsored by Natural Springs Golf Resort. Eighty six golfers played with no hole in one but many prizes awarded by local sponsors including Erin Dyer Brian Young Jack Thomson Gord Webb Bert Sampson Bernie Currie Mike Weeks and Glen Martin. Peter Evans won TV VCR and Glen Martin won the chip off contest. Proceeds support patient care at Chetwynd General Hospital.
