Chetwynd Academy students wrap up week of exams and activities

This week at the Academy featured intense work on contracts and writing, several breaks including pool time and a hike along Trails with wildflowers. Tennis practice and a health lesson on anorexia nervosa preceded a Friday lunch by TR Equinox at Gwilliam Lake as June 11 to 15 mark the final official week and an upcoming awards ceremony.

Fraser Steps Down as Peace River Liard Board President

At the May 24 meeting of the Peace River Liard Community Futures Board Ella Fraser of Fort St. John stepped down as president. Garry Davies of Tumbler Ridge, former vice president, was elected to lead the committee which focuses on employment development under a federal program. Other executives include Mac Taylor of Dawson Creek and Jan Edwards of Fort Nelson. office located in Fort St. John.
