Jump Rope for Heart at Windrem Elementary 1994 Jump Off
Windrem Elementary held a Jump Rope for Heart event on June 3 1994 with about 65 students in Grade 3 through 7 in groups of four. Participants jumped two hours in two minute intervals, earning pledges for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B C and Yukon. Prizes included jump ropes water bottles t shirts wind breakers watches koosh balls and paddles. The 12th annual program supports research and health promotion as part of a national effort involving more than 400 British Columbia schools aiming to raise 7 7 million dollars.
