Chetwynd Gains Stability From New Fair Share Deal
The Peace River region security gains from a renewed Fair Share agreement allowing local governments to fund capital projects and stabilize budgeting. Chetwynd officials say the deal grants access to rural tax bases, supports five year capital plans, and channels funds toward infrastructure while narrowing Fair Share toward capital work. One million dollars goes to the Peace River Regional District for ongoing Partnership Committee work.
