Historic milestones in Chetwynd and area development

The same year saw the Westcoast Transmission Pipeline service and a local gas distribution office, with Sig Schilling as general manager. Premier W. A. C. Bennett rode the first PGE train into Chetwynd amid a crowd of named residents and families, signaling growth as housing for employees expanded the town.
