Summer Canada student jobs expand in Prince George River area

Langley firm wins last Chetwynd-Tumbler Ridge road contract
Miller Contracting Ltd has been awarded the final road contract for the Chetwynd-Tumbler Ridge highway program. The Langley company will build a 9.24 kilometre section from Meikle Creek to Bullmoose Creek starting next week, with a 50‑person crew. The $2,742,593 project aims for completion by August 1983, weather permitting.

CARD Commission hears guest speakers from Fort St John
The CARD Commission general meeting on May 27 in the CARD office featured guest speakers from the Federal Business Development Bank Fort St John. They outlined low cost Management Counselling for current and prospective business owners. The commission also expects an Outreach Programme for Chetwynd creating a full time employment office and counselling by August 1. Petrosul International Ltd hopes to have a Vancouver based Chetwynd plant in operation by October 1 hiring local staff with at least 15 permanent jobs.
