Bear mother likely hit while tending cub near Industrial Park
Chetwynd residents Kimberly Gallagher and Brock Colliver witnessed a dying mother black bear on July 23 after a cub was hit on Highway 29 Industrial Park. Conservation Officer Murray Booth later had to euthanize the clearly injured bear as neighbors lamented drivers leaving the scene.
