Illiteracy Darkens Chetwynd School Years in 1960s
In 1967 through 1972 at Windrem School in Chetwynd teacher Mrs. L guided a class that left many students illiterate. Sue, then grade two, recalls crafts over real work, skipping reading and writing for years. A later reveal shows Sue learning to read at 26, while others face lifelong struggles and questions about oversight.
