Treaty 8 First Nations hold grand council assembly
Delegates from BC Alberta Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories attended the third annual Grand Council of Treaty 8 First Nations gathering at the Saulteau Reserve July 12 16. Chief Halcrow opened with Cree and English remarks stressing self government and treaty issues while nominations named four Grand Chief candidates.
