Peace paddlers rally against Site C dam on Bear Flat
About 150 boaters launched during the fourth Paddle for the Peace on a sunny Saturday near Bear Flat on the Peace River. The four hour paddle to Old Fort in Fort St. John drew diverse craft from canoes to sailboats. Organizers praised the new venue passing near the proposed Site C dam as residents voiced regional concerns for the valley.
