Break and enters reported in Dawson Creek area
On June 9 2003 the Dawson Creek RCMP investigated two break ins in the 800 block of 104th and 107th Avenues. Doors were kicked in one residence and a DVD player was taken from the other. Former Echo Publisher Norman Picco dies at 64
Norman Picco died July 2 2003 at age 64 after a heart attack while working out Regina his wife said he was very active playing hockey and ran the Chetwynd Echo as Publisher and Sales Director for three years He later worked as a Vernon Daily News sales rep after the Vernon paper closed and began in 1980 at the Kimberly Bulletin He and Regina were married 23 years and left Chetwynd in 1988 to settle in Vernon B C
