Chetwynd Library kicks off 1999 summer reading program
The Chetwynd Public Library launched its 1999 summer reading program with 160 kids registered. Wendy Hudson and Rebecca Sangstad are the student organizers, starting July 5, and weekly travel themed activities are planned including chocolate covered pretzels. Each child keeps a passbook to log hours and book titles, with stickers on a world map showing progress. Hudson is a first year teaching student at Camousan College in Victoria. Sangstad is a Grade 12 student who enjoyed the job last year.
