Paddle for the Peace annual event amid Site C opposition
The 8th Paddle for the Peace charity paddle, organized by Peace Valley Environment Association and West Moberly First Nation, returns this weekend with about 150 watercraft. Registration is on site for 10 dollars, proceeds aiding the organizers. The day includes a pancake breakfast at 9, a noon launch at Halfway River Bridge, and a Bear Flat takeout with food and entertainment, while proponents highlight river heritage and opposition to BC Hydro Site C.
