Windrem Elementary students carved and erected a 20 foot Totem Pole featuring sasquatch frog bear and wolf with design by Bill Stockman. Mayor Pfanner declared Canada Week during a June 25 ceremony attended by dignitaries teachers parents and friends.

Bennett backs rail for coal haul in B C
Premier Bill Bennett dismissed a conveyor belt system as an alternative to a 300 million dollar rail line to move northeastern British Columbia coal.
