Former ministry exec charged with child pornography
Edward Berry 51, former executive director of services for the Ministry of Children and Family Development in Fort St John, faces two counts in Prince George court for accessing and possessing child pornography. Investigators say the alleged offences occurred in April 2014 in Prince George. Berry was arrested in Vancouver and released with conditions. The ministry, which says he is no longer employed, notes high hiring standards and criminal record checks for frontline roles. The investigation, opened in 2014, continues with no identified youth victims linked to the case.
