Clancy Plays Every Position in Cup Clinching Mastery
In March 1923 Ottawa Senators beat Vancouver and Edmonton to win the Stanley Cup. King Clancy, 19, substituted at defence centre and right wing before guarding the Ottawa net for two minutes after Clint Benedict left with a penalty. Ottawa won the series and Clancy became the only NHL player to play every position in a Stanley Cup playoff game.
