Civic Property Commission approves 1997 budget

The Civic Properties Commission approves the 1997 budget for the recreation centre and leisure pool and reviews 1996 year end. Recreation centre shows a 1996 surplus of 203466 while the pool posts 114741. 1997 forecasts include 959355 in revenues with 578129 from Peace River RD and 782355 in expenditures, yielding a 177000 surplus for capital projects including a 30000 refrigeration plant upgrade. Leisure pool forecasts 901260 in revenues with 655019 from Peace River RD and 755560 in expenditures, a 145700 surplus for capital projects such as 35000 for coin operated lockers and 10000 for weight room upgrades, plus funds to build a connector between the buildings.
