Disabled marcher helping out the handicapped
Sheila Lockett, a former entertainer now a quadriplegic, explains how her life in North Delta improved after an Australia accident in 1967. With husband John, she relies on the Department of Health Long Term Care program and Kinsmen Rehabilitation Foundation for mobility aids, a medi alert, and a customized home. She serves as Area Captain for the Kinsmen Mothers March, urging donations to help physically disabled BC residents access rehabilitation and independence. Call 736-3521 to volunteer.
