News and musings from 1973 Echo column in Chetwynd
In 1973 style, Marian Parker muses on the coming century and rapid tech advance from Buck Rogers to moon travel. The column also notes local news: workers heading to Fort St. James, Mrs. Courtoreille visiting Vancouver for a hospital stay, a list of local ill and injured, ice conditions on the lake, a book box clearance, and a civic shoutout to Editor Bunne Hoffman as Citizen of the Year in Chetwynd.

Letters to the Editor praise Mr Schreyer and dental care efforts
The writer commends Howard Schreyer for clarifying issues in the January 9 letter. They discuss high dental fees in British Columbia, potential subsidized schemes for under 17s, and the need for a local dentist in Chetwynd. Dawson Creek dentists assist with clinics and recruitment, and a California-qualified dentist may set up practice here soon, with plans to rent space at the hospital.
