Dokie Wind Project Advances Toward 2011 Start
Construction aims to begin mid June with turbine erection after load restrictions lift. EarthFirst turbines remain staged with 43 units awaiting shipment from Korea and Denmark, backed by a BC Hydro energy purchase. Financing collapsed in 2008, but restructured agreements with GE Plutonic place Canada’s first Dokie wind venture and ecoENERGY incentives in play.
