Farmers plot Victoria visit amid farm crisis protest
Nick Parsons plans to head to Victoria as the Farm Crisis Committee crafts a counter proposal for government officials by late January. Rod Strasky says the Nov package fails to provide short term relief and critiques the $18 million loan guarantee and overall program as inadequate for long and multi year disasters in the Peace region. The committee plans to depart Dawson Creek Jan 24 with buses to meet Agriculture Minister Corky Evans and other officials, urging stronger aid and quicker action.
