Provincial homeowner grants rise to match higher property values
BC Finance Minister Mike de Jong announced the Home Owner Grant threshold will grow from 10,000 to 1.295 million to align with rising property assessments based on July 1 market values. The program, started in 1957, aids homeowners with property tax reductions including additional northern and rural area benefits and options for low income homeowners and deferments for seniors and disabled residents.
