Two snowmobilers rescued after night outdoors near Tumbler Ridge
The Canadian Press reports two men who left Tumbler Ridge Friday January 3 were found safe Saturday afternoon after their snowmobiles became stuck in deep powder near Core Lodge. RCMP and rescue teams from Tumbler Ridge Fort St. John and Prince George located them with a helicopter. both were uninjured and kept warm by a fire. The Core Lodge area is a popular, challenging trail region for local riders.
