Snowmobilers fail to notify return triggering search and rescue
Two adult snowmobilers went missing after failing to report return plans and later returned to Chetwynd at Moberly Lake. RCMP and Search and Rescue, with volunteers, conducted an extensive night run across local trails before locating them. Authorities urged snowmobilers to leave a plan and notify upon return to prevent future rescues.
