TLC Thrift Store on North Access Road supports town with donated clothing bedding furniture and baby items since 1973. They avoid large appliances and require a signed letter for used car seats. recycling saves landfill fees but some items still go to trash. They donated over five thousand dollars in 2010 and seek volunteers.

BC Hydro hosts a drop in session for the Dawson Creek Chetwynd Transmission DCAT project at McLeod Community Hall with 22 attendees. Stakeholder relations lead Lesley Wood says the Groundbirch meeting location aims to reach nearby stake holders. The 200 million project will add a new substation east of Chetwynd and a Sundance transmission line linking to Dawson Creek.
