Eels post strong times at Grande Prairie swim meet
Electric Eels Swim Club sent 15 swimmers to the Grande Prairie Pirhana Meet Feb 9-11 facing 300 rivals from Prince George to Edmonton. The club posted about 80 percent personal bests with nine first timers. Top finishes included Kellee Lekavy sixth and Carlee Westgate eighth in 50m breaststroke for 10 and under girls, and Rianne Swanson runner up in 100m and 200m butterfly plus several other finals placements. Coaches praised the team's effort and noted a planned return for March 3 fun meet.
