Plans emerge for BC Hydro Peace area powerline projects
BC Hydro narrows focus on two projects to meet Peace region demand. DCAT will supply Dawson Creek and Groundbirch by 2015, while PRES plans to address post-2019 growth. A 500/230 kV substation and 78 km of new line may connect Sukunka and Sundance substations, with routing option 3A favored to minimize clear cutting.
