Tourists urged to stay an extra day on Alaska Highway route
Tourists visiting the Peace region are urged to linger as a new NRAHTA campaign “Live a Day . . . the Northern Way” promotes a longer Alaska Highway journey. The plan, timed with the Alaska Highway’s 60th anniversary in 2002, aims to showcase northern culture hospitality and events while boosting regional tourism and spending.
