Pioneers of Chetwynd celebrate golden wedding anniversary
Mike and Freda Sawchuk mark 50 years of marriage amid stories of Saskatchewan roots and Chetwynd pioneer life. The couple moved to British Columbia in 1956, with Mike working in logging ranching farming and oil and gas. Freda cooked in BC Rail camps, and their family now comprises four children and twelve grandchildren all living in Chetwynd.
