Chetwynd Council briefs on van lease and CRAFT costs
The District of Chetwynd Council met on February 2 to hear Ellen Calliou report on the Retail Shopping Survey with interest in a follow up in a year. Councillors approved in principle leasing a 15 passenger Rec Centre van with wheelchair ramp, pending cost details. Council cut CRAFT rent from 600 to 300 monthly and discussed eliminating the GM role while training 18 locals this fall. A potential conflict of interest was noted regarding Sheila Barnes’s appointment at the Dawson Creek hospital foundation and South Peace Health Council.
