Community rally aids family after hospital visit

The Editor recounts a collective effort when a family faced trouble. Hospital staff, nurses, and many helpers supported Mr and Mrs H Houseman as their son was hospitalized and began to recover. Gratitude is extended to all who assisted.

Time Capsule Sealed For Province Centennials

Mayor Oberle sealed a 100 year time capsule in village council chambers last Tuesday not to be opened until BC has its second centennial. It contains town photos current newspaper editions bric a brac and a bottle of rum. Built by Sig Schilling the capsule will be poured in concrete in the new Centennial ice arena and marked with a bronze plaque directing opening at the province’s second centennial.
