Fifteen members of the Chetwynd Junior Curling Club travelled to Fort St John on January 24 to take part in a curling clinic with 2010 Brier and World Curling Championship Team Koe. Sponsored by Talisman Energy, the two hour session offered coaching and stories of places and people faced in curling.
Powder King Mountain in Chetwynd marks its seventh anniversary after an official tally places it atop 2500 ski areas for snowfall at 409 cm as of Saturday January 28. In a week the resort logged 153 cm with guests enjoying deep powder and tough tricks while highway closures delayed some visitors.
