Peace River farmers drive to Victoria in aid protest
About 40 Peace region farmers travelled 1300 kilometres by bus to Victoria with Nick Parsons and his combine the Prairie Belle to press for a better 75 million dollar aid package for BC farmers. Minister Corky Evans warned the talks might yield more funding and urged federal help while media coverage highlighted the protest and its impact on public opinion.
