Chetwynd wins despite tax break for mill reopening
Tembec plans to reopen the Chetwynd high yield pulp mill with a 50 million dollar investment and 300 jobs, backed by a five year tax phase in. Mayor Langstad says reduced taxes still help local businesses and social contributions include charitable programs and environmental funds.
