Dawson Creek man jailed for large scale marijuana grow op
Provincial Court judge sentenced Dennis Walter Ewonchuk to four years in prison after finding a major drug operation with potent firearms and cocaine trafficking. The raid uncovered a fortified grow house, an array of unlicensed weapons, and plans to expand production to 300000 worth of cannabis every 12 weeks. Ewonchuk had pleaded guilty to multiple charges and was ordered to forfeit firearms rights and provide a DNA sample.
