Chetwynd RCMP releases 1997 crime statistics
The Chetwynd RCMP presented the 1997 crime statistics at the year end District Council meeting. Sgt. Scott highlighted victimization rates across four sections including Reported Offences Theft over 5000 Theft under 5000 and Drugs. He noted high property damage cases and a successful Halloween school blitz. The detachment handled nearly 3000 calls in 1997 and will release a March report on solved cases.
