Powder King Ski Village Opens In 1984-85 Season
Powder King Ski Village opens last week for the 1984-85 season. Located south of Chetwynd in Pine Pass, Rockies, near Highway 97, 800 to 1000 skiers enjoyed groomed powder runs on opening weekend. The area offers 14 major trails, 1000 acres of terrain, 40 acres of runs, and lifts with capacity rising from 2,000 skiers per hour after 40 more chairs. Crown land facilities will be replaced by permanent structures with a 1-3 year build window. Peter Graham Jr. serves as president.

$10 million phone project completes in Peace Country
B C Tel finishes a four year ten million dollar upgrade to a GTD 5 digital telephone system. The project adds new switching equipment and facilities at 1212 102nd Avenue and an office in Ponce with peripheral work to integrate local exchanges.
