Chetwynd junior curlers fail to qualify for BC Games
Chetwynd teams competed in Northern BC Winter Games play downs in Dawson Creek with the Hamilton rink losing to the Steinke rink and then to Dawson Creek, missing the Games. The juvenile Peace League saw Robertson and Hamilton outfits win and tie in Saturday play, while two local girls, Vanessa Kearns and Haley Shannon, teamed with Falan Burkitt to win one match. Future action includes Peace League play in Sexsmith and Grimshaw playdowns to determine Peace Region representatives for Alberta provincials in January.
