Cree language courses join District 59 program
School District 59 expands curriculum starting end of November adding Cree as a second language. Native Cree instructor Leo Sabulsky notes ground breaking work while Catherine Dokkie, Moberly Lake resident, joins to lead the mobile Cree course taught from Chetwynd Secondary School and rolling out monthly to local elementary schools. Her prior community work and First Nation Languages diploma are cited as assets.
