Chetwynd Hospital seeks emergency blood donors amid shortage

Lab technologist Jane Minville says Canadian Blood Services has limited reserve blood for Chetwynd due to a national shortage. The hospital maintains a donor file and is inviting community volunteers aged 17 to 60 who meet health criteria, for emergency use in life threatening cases until transfer to a larger hospital.

Vandals smash rear door at Chetwynd Public Library

Sometime over the weekend between November 20 and 23 an unknown person smashed the glass from a rear door of the Chetwynd Public Library. Police ask anyone with information to call Chetwynd RCMP at 788 9221 referencing file 98 2745.
